The planned trial gives you every MacTidy feature free for 2 days, starting the first time you open the app. There's no account, no credit card and nothing to cancel, and nothing is ever charged automatically. To keep using the tools after 2 days, unlock Pro once: $2.99 during the launch offer, $5.99 afterwards.

Read-only scans and previews, your History, and restoring anything MacTidy moved, so you can always undo what you did during the trial. Cleaning, organizing, the uninstaller, cache cleanup, quarantine, live monitoring and Health Center suggestions need Pro.

Pro is planned as a $5.99 USD one-time unlock, with a $2.99 launch price for a limited time after release, no subscription and no cleanup-volume cap. It keeps every feature from the trial: cleanup, smart organization presets, custom rules, bulk organization, optional folder monitoring, app uninstallation, verified leftover-file cleanup, allowlisted user-cache and temporary-file cleanup, searchable history, advanced protections, opt-in reminders, on-demand malware scans with quarantine, memory insights, live performance monitoring, startup item review and the Health Center. The term for security signature updates will be published before purchases open. Future separately priced products or major paid upgrades are not automatically included.

The planned workflow starts with a read-only scan, followed by your selection, an itemized preview and explicit confirmation. Approved cleanup items go to Trash. Folder monitoring and reminders only suggest a review; they never trigger unattended deletion. Previews, confirmations and exclusions are included in both plans.

MacTidy is designed to record each action and help restore files when possible. Organization moves can be undone when paths remain available; Trash restoration is not guaranteed. Moving files to Trash may not free disk space until Trash is emptied. Once Trash is emptied or data is overwritten, recovery may be impossible. MacTidy is not a backup service.

MacTidy is designed to analyze files locally, using folders or locations you explicitly authorize. This website’s demos never read or upload your files. Local functions will not require an account. Any future checkout or license validation will be explained separately before launch.

The planned Pro cleaner is limited to allowlisted user-writable caches and temporary files. Active, locked, system-critical, database, cloud-sync and unknown files are excluded. You review each action and its consequences; caches may regenerate. MacTidy does not offer privileged system cleaning or guaranteed speed improvements.

No. The planned Pro scanner checks folders you authorize, on demand, using a maintained signature engine and available macOS security signals. Each finding shows its detection source, signature age and confidence, and known-signature matches, suspicious results and scan errors are kept separate. Quarantine needs your approval, keeps files non-executable and can be restored. MacTidy does not promise to detect every threat, does not replace macOS XProtect or a full endpoint security suite, and does not assume real-time protection. Free shows security status and a limited scan preview where viable.

MacTidy does not promise a speed boost. On macOS, free RAM isn’t the goal: the planned Memory view shows memory pressure, cached and compressed memory, swap and the apps using the most. Any action is yours, such as quitting a selected app after an unsaved-work warning, and you can compare pressure and swap before and after. There are no purge-memory tricks and no force quits without consent.

A planned Pro view that brings storage, CPU, memory pressure, security scan status, battery (where available) and login items together. Each suggestion shows its evidence, confidence and risk, and opens the module where you can review it. There is no invented single health score. Login items are reviewed in MacTidy and changed in System Settings, and backup, sync and accessibility tools are never disabled silently.

MacTidy is being built as a native macOS app. The minimum macOS version and Apple silicon / Intel compatibility will be confirmed after testing, before a download is offered.
