A few clear expectations.
MacTidy is in development. This website shows planned features and illustrative demos. It does not provide a working Mac utility, downloadable release or checkout.
Planned free trial and Pro
A 2-day free trial is planned: every feature, starting the first time the app is opened, with no account or payment and nothing charged automatically. When it ends, read-only scans, previews, History and restoring files remain available; cleaning, organizing and the other tools require Pro. Nothing done during the trial is undone.
Pro is proposed at US$5.99 as a one-time unlock, with a launch price of US$2.99 for a limited period after release; the end of that period will be stated before purchases open. Pro has no subscription or cleanup-volume cap. The license covers the defined MacTidy features; it does not automatically include future separately priced products or major paid upgrades.
Final pricing, tax treatment, purchase terms, license recovery and refund policy will be published before purchases open. No payment is collected on this website.
Cleanup and recovery
The planned app requires your review and explicit confirmation before changes. Moving files to Trash does not guarantee immediate disk-space recovery. Organization undo and Trash restoration depend on files and paths still being available.
Recovery cannot be guaranteed after Trash is emptied or data is overwritten. Removing app data or caches may have effects even if files are in Trash. MacTidy is not a backup service and does not promise improved Mac speed.
Security, memory and performance
The planned malware scan is an on-demand check of folders you choose. It is not a complete antivirus product, does not replace macOS XProtect or Gatekeeper and does not promise real-time protection. Scans can miss threats or flag harmless files, so each finding shows its evidence and nothing is quarantined without your approval. Quarantine is reversible where technically possible.
Malware signature updates have ongoing costs. The period during which a Pro purchase receives signature and security updates will be stated before purchases open, and a purchased feature will not be silently removed. When signatures are out of date, the app will say so.
Memory and performance tools show diagnostics and suggestions. They never force-quit apps without confirmation, do not “purge” RAM and do not guarantee a faster Mac. Metrics that macOS or your hardware cannot provide are labeled as unavailable.
Availability
Features, supported macOS versions and Apple silicon / Intel compatibility must be implemented and tested before release. The demonstrations on the home page do not establish native app availability.
